ABOUT ME

I am an expert in immunochemistry of bacterial antigens and cell surface components. My core expertise is in structure and function of endotoxin/LPS of Gram-negative bacteria. I have a longstanding experience in interpretation of the mass spectrometry (ESI-MS, MALDI-TOF-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of microbial (carbohydrate and glycolipid) antigens.

My recent investigations focus mainly on interactions between bacterial symbionts and pathogens with eukaryotic (host) cells and molecular mechanisms of such interactions.

I am also engaged in isolation and studies of bacteriophages and the usage of phages’ cocktails in the treatment of ulcerative disease syndrome (Aeromonas sp. caused infections) in cultured fish.

I have also experiences in classical and molecular biology methods including DNA isolation from different sources, PCR, PAGE electrophoresis and molecular separation techniques.
